"Character, not circumstances, makes the
man."
- B.T.W.
Hey Guys! First of all I want to affirm you for checking
out this section of our web site. Few guys even get this far, we don't
like to admit that we need help. It's our "Lone Ranger" conditioning.
You know, like that difficulty we have in stopping to ask for directions?
Need I say more? I also would like to congratulate you because this may
be one of the most important life changing steps you ever take.
Being a guy can be tough. We have many expectations placed upon us both
from ourselves and others. We are supposed to be "The Man" (whatever
that means); a good provider, independent, responsible, successful, and
then to top it all off, sensitive but not too sensitive. Sometimes it
is easy to lose ourselves in working hard to be what we feel we are supposed
to be.
Think with me for a moment about the following
questions:
- Are you completely satisfied with your life or are
you just settling?
- Are you seeking validation from your accomplishments
and other people?
- Are you doing what you really want to do?
- Are you emotionally shut down?
- Are you following your dreams and your life purpose
or just going through the motions?
- Are you afraid of being found out as a fraud?
- Do you find yourself reacting out of fear, anger,
guilt or defensiveness?
- Do you feel overwhelmed by your responsibilities?
- Do you need to be right and have to win?
- How would you like your life to be?
- Are you nearing burn-out?
