  1. Performance orientation - Your child feels he/she has to perform well to be okay.

  2. Anger and sadness.

  3. Rebellion.

  4. Violent destructive behavior.

  5. Aggression and fighting.

  6. Disrespect for authority and others.

  7. Low self esteem.

  8. Lack of motivation.

  9. Irresponsibility that is not age appropriate.

  10. Blame-shifting.

  11. People-pleasing.

  12. Overly identified with you, the parent.

  13. Sense of entitlement.

  14. Drug and alcohol use.

  17. Feelings of condemnation.

 

This doesn't necessarily mean that you are a bad parent or that your parenting style has caused this behavior in your children. It may however, reveal the need to do some things differently. Modifying your parenting style can foster healthy characteristics in your children. Coaching can help you achieve these modifications in your parenting style.
